Serenity Health Solutions

Faq’s

Serenity Health Solutions specialises in professional home-based clinical healthcare services. Our services include Specialist Home-Based Clinical Services, Home Infusion Therapy, Immunoglobulin (Polygam®) Infusion Therapy, Advanced Wound Care, Post-Hospital Recovery Support, Hospital-to-Home Clinical Transition, and Corporate Clinical Healthcare. Every service is delivered by qualified healthcare professionals according to prescribed treatment plans and recognised clinical standards.

Our head office is based in Gauteng, and we provide services across South Africa through our growing network of experienced healthcare professionals. Service availability may vary depending on location and the clinical requirements of each patient.

Our services are suitable for patients who require ongoing clinical treatment but are able to receive care safely at home. This includes patients recovering after surgery, individuals requiring intravenous therapy, patients with chronic medical conditions, those needing specialized wound care, and patients transitioning from hospital to home.

Many of our specialist services require a referral or prescription from a treating doctor or specialist, particularly infusion therapies and other prescribed clinical treatments. If you are unsure about your eligibility, our team can guide you through the process and advise on the appropriate referral requirements.

We accept referrals from:

  • Specialist Doctors
  • General Practitioners
  • Hospitals
  • Day Hospitals
  • Case Managers
  • Medical Schemes
  • Occupational Health Providers
  • Pharmaceutical Patient Support Programmes
  • Corporate Organisations

Patients and family members are also welcome to contact us directly to discuss available services.

Once a referral or enquiry is received, our clinical team reviews the patient’s requirements, confirms the prescribed treatment plan, and coordinates the necessary care. We work closely with the referring healthcare professional to ensure continuity of care and arrange treatment at a suitable time and location.

Yes. Communication is a key part of our care model. Where appropriate, we provide clinical documentation, treatment updates, and progress reports to the referring healthcare professional to support ongoing patient management.

Home Infusion Therapy allows eligible patients to receive prescribed intravenous treatments safely in the comfort of their own home. Treatments are administered by experienced healthcare professionals who monitor the patient throughout the infusion and maintain detailed clinical documentation.

Depending on the treating healthcare professional’s prescription, we administer a range of prescribed therapies, including antibiotics, hydration therapy, biologic medications, immunoglobulin (Polygam®) therapy, and other clinically approved intravenous treatments.

Yes. Patient safety is our highest priority. All infusions are administered by qualified healthcare professionals following evidence-based clinical protocols, with continuous monitoring before, during, and after treatment.

Our experienced clinicians provide treatment for post-operative wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, pressure injuries, chronic wounds, traumatic wounds, and other complex wound conditions requiring specialised care.

The frequency of wound assessments depends on your individual treatment plan and the recommendation of your treating healthcare professional. Our team continually evaluates healing progress and adjusts care as required.

Our Post-Hospital Recovery Support service may include nursing care, medication management, wound care, clinical monitoring, mobility support, patient education, and coordination with your healthcare team to promote a safe recovery at home.

Our goal is to support safe recovery by providing ongoing monitoring, early identification of potential concerns, and close communication with the treating healthcare team. While every patient’s recovery is unique, coordinated home-based care can help support continuity of treatment and recovery.
